A form says “file too large”?

Find the size that fits.

Start with the upload limit, then check the image dimensions and format.

A little clarity goes a long way

Which image tool do you need?

Similar words. Different jobs. Here is a quick way to choose.

01

“My file is too large.”

Start with compression when a form asks for fewer KB or MB. Reducing pixel dimensions can help too, but may change the required image size.

Choose Image Compressor →
02

“My photo is the wrong size.”

Resize to change width and height without removing the frame. For print dimensions in cm or inches, check the requested DPI as well.

Choose Image Resizer →
03

“There is too much around the subject.”

Crop to remove outer pixels, improve the composition or create a specific ratio. Use exact source-pixel fields when the frame must be measured.

Choose Crop Image →
04

“My photo is sideways or tilted.”

Rotate by 90 degrees for orientation, or use an exact angle to straighten a scan or horizon. Choose whether the canvas expands or clips the edges.

Choose Rotate Image →
05

“This file type is not accepted.”

Convert an iPhone HEIC photo to JPG when a website or application rejects the original format. Check quality, dimensions and metadata status before uploading.

Choose HEIC to JPG →
Your files deserve care

Know before you upload.

Browsing this collection does not upload any files. For a processing tool, check its file-handling details before adding personal images.

  • Keep a copy of your original image.
  • Check file limits and supported formats.
  • Review sensitive details before sharing.

A few useful answers.

What is the difference between KB and pixels?+

KB and MB measure the amount of data in a file. Pixels describe image dimensions, such as 1200 x 800. An upload form can require both a maximum file size and specific pixel dimensions.

Can I make a photo smaller without changing its dimensions?+

Often, yes. Compression can reduce file size while keeping the pixel dimensions unchanged. The result depends on the original file, format and quality settings; a very small target may require smaller dimensions too.

Does changing DPI improve image quality?+

Changing only the DPI metadata does not add image detail. DPI connects pixel dimensions with print size. A sharper result requires enough source pixels for the intended output.

Will a resized passport photo always be accepted?+

No. Dimensions are only one part of the requirements. Check the issuing authority's current rules for background, face position, lighting, expression, file size and permitted edits.

Where are my saved tools stored?+

The star saves tool names on this browser and device when local storage is available. It does not save or upload images. Clearing site data may remove your saved list.

More than a picture to work on?

There is a little toolbox for that, too.
